Glovershaw 2.45 to 6.30
On Baildon Moor, at Glovershaw this afternoon, in the area between metal gate to the gallops and path across field back to Golcar Farm family of five Stonechat: male, female and three juveniles. In same area four Whinchat: all females or juveniles. At one point had juvenile Whinchat and juvenile Stonechat perched within a couple of feet of each other on fencing wire after both flying out to catch insects. A good afternoon birding as had Little Owl at Pennithorn, at usual spot near cabins on old stone building, I also had flyover Red Kite, male and female Kestrel hunting. Still plenty of Swallows over fields near Sconce Lane, estimate 15+ and at least 5 Lapwings in the fields.Ian Skayman
