Apperley Bridge area - 5 Blackcap, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Chiff-Chaff, pair of Gadwall, 2 Kingfisher, 2 Song Thrush

St Ives, Bingley - during a 75 minute watch around sunset, 26 sightings of Woodcock roding recorded. Twice two birds were together & once four flew.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - 2 Reed Warblers singing, close views of Garden Warbler feeding in cotoneaster, Chiff-Chaff, Blackcap, Whitethroat, Reed Bunting. Noisy Canadas have gone.
Opposite Bingley G S - 2 singing Whitethroat, Garden Warbler, Blackcap.

Iberian Chiffchaff at Stainburn.

The male bird, first seen at the weekend, is still present.  It is very close to the mast (within 200m); park at the small car park right at the brow of the hill, and take the path through the wooden barrier, not the one next to it through a steel barrier.  About 7-8 minutes walk from the car park, with a bit of a climb.

Norwood Edge
An Iberian Chiffchaff (200m from the mast), three singing Redstarts, two Garden Warblers and a Tree Pipit were seen.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - LTT carrying food to site, Whitethroat showing well on heaps of dead wood piled up, Garden Warbler, 2 Reed Warbler plus visit by 3 Herring Gulls. The birds came to look for Canada Goose eggs & one bird was successful. It carried an egg between its beak & placed it on the ground before stabbing the egg many times. This failed to break the egg.

Opposite Bingley G S - now 2 singing Whitethroat plus a Blackcap.

Private Wetlands (permit holders only) - 2 Garden Warbler, 5 Blackcap, 7 Reed Warbler, one observer did see a Sedge Warbler, 3 Willow Warbler, female Goldeneye, distant call of Whitethroat plus brief song of a Redstart. Plenty of Swifts.

Private Wetlands (permit holders only) - 50+ Swifts, Common Tern, Sand Martins, Reed & Sedge Warblers.
Timble Village - Tree Sparrows.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - good views of Whitethroat, singing despite cold wind blowing. Also Blackcap, Chiff-Chaff, Garden Warbler singing. Appear to have lost Sedge Warblers but a Reed Warbler is calling from the reed bed.
St Ives - in a 75 minute survey, Woodcock passed by with one record of 3 birds in the air at one time.
