Shibden Head, Queensbury

First juvenile Redstart of the Autumn seen. Also 2 Whitethroat, juvenile Blackcap, GS Woodpecker, 4 Sand Martin overhead. Several Chiffchaff calling but strangely not a single Willow Warbler was heard.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - Whitethroat carrying food, juvenile Blackcap, Sedge & Reed (2) still singing, Chiff-Chaff.

Glovershaw/Pennythorn/Sconce - 15 Meadow Pipit, some still feeding young, 4 Skylark, 5 Oystercatcher, 4 Reed Bunting, 2 Willow Warbler, 2 Whitethroat (possibly 3), juv Redstart, juv Pied Wagtail- 22 species in total. 6 species of butterfly including a Ringlet pursued by a Hawker dragonfly.
