 Eldwick Reservoir - this evening, 5 Curlew, 4 Lapwing, 2 pair of Oystercatchers, Little Owl, Little Grebe (a first sighting at site), single Sand Martin, pair of Grey Wagtail, 8 M Pipits, Cormorant.

Slippery Ford & Keighley Reservoir - 6 Wheatear, 20 plus Fieldfare & small groups of Sand Martin at the reservoir.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - Water Rail heard, 2 Reed Bunting, 2 Chiff-Chaff, Canada geese mating.

Also 2 Kingfishers visited the Reserve and started fishing from the willows. Both caught sticklebacks, stunned and swallowed them and stayed perched on the same branch for 10 minutes within 3 feet of each other.

Glovershaw - Lapwing flock of 40 on breeding ground, 4 pair of Curlew, Snipe drumming, Skylarks plus a pair of Stonechat.. Next day, recorded a Kingfisher at Shipley Glen Dam.

Bingley area -  A new Heronry is now situated near the town on a private lake between the Brown Cow pub & Myrtle Park. A Grey Heron is now sitting whilst three more birds are nest building. Up to six birds have been recorded over the town whilst this development takes place. A good place to view is from the car park next to Bingley Little Theatre as the birds are nesting on an island.

Also recorded today - 2 male & 4 female Goosanders up river, a singing Chiff-Chaff at the bottom of Altar Road, GSW drumming, Nuthatch & Bullfinch near the park.
