Stockbridge Reserve (members only) -  Reed Warbler, Browncap, Chiff-Chaff, Reed Bunting, Whitethroat.

Weecher Reservoir Area
Feeding parties included Linnets, Curlews, Reed Buntings, Greenfinch, Meadow Pipits and Willow Warblers.  About 35 Swallows were seen around Birch Close and Faweather Grange and a Whitethroat was feeding on raspberries at Little London.  Common Buzzard, Red Kite and Kestrel were in the area.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - plenty of young birds around the feeders. Singing birds - 3 blackcap, 2 Whitethroat, Dunnock, Reed Bunting plus a short "reel" from Grasshopper Warbler in the willows opposite the hide. Swift, Sand Martin, Swallow & House Martin hawking over the water.

Members only reservoir - Whimbrel stayed for 15 mins, LRP, 3 Dunlin, 3 Common Sandpiper,
3 Redshank, 100 Lapwing, 2 Teal, juv Coot plus 200 gulls chiefly LBB but some Herring & BHG.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - despite the drizzle & rain, singing birds were - Blackcap, Whitethroat, Wren, Dunnock, Song Thrush, Willow Warbler. Adult Reed Warbler seen but no evidence of breeding. 3 Oystercatchers landed on the "beach.

Hazlewood Moor
A fully grown Cuckoo, with long tail, able to fly strongly, but still making begging noises and being fed by attendant Meadow Pipit.  This is an early date - the previous earliest date was 20th July 1979.
In addition, a pair of Stonechats, single juvenile Ring Ouzel, single juvenile Wheatear and a flock of about a dozen adult and juvenile Linnets feeding on sorrel seed.

2 Dunlin,  2 Oystercatcher.   Kingfisher and Dipper  in stream to North.  2 Stonechat, Merlin.

Baildon Moor
Between Sconce and Pennythorn there were eight male Reed Buntings, one with two juveniles.  A male Stonechat was on breeding territory by the quarry and four pairs of Linnets were seen, one pair formed a family group of four.
