There were six Wheatears on the Golf Course this morning, one male and five females.  Two of the females were bigger and brighter then their two companions and suggested that they were of the Greenland race Oenanthe oenanthe leucorhoa.  Here's a photo taken by Brian Vickers in 2011.

Opposite Ben Rhydding Gravel Pits - Little Egret. Bird was originally on shingle but moved to the north bank opposite the Gravel Pits.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - 2 singing Whitethroat, 3 Garden Warblers on or near the reserve, 3 Blackcap. Interestingly, the pair of Kestrels spent the morning defending their box against three separate female Goosanders. The Goosanders also tried both the old Kestrel box and the Stock Dove nest box.
Yesterday, a single Brambling was seen.

Addingham High Moor - heard and saw a Cuckoo which flew towards the fringe edge of the moor.
It was at this point I noticed 6 ring Ouzels feeding in the flat field below.

Morning - After the overnight rain there were five Wheatears and two Whinchats.  Both the Whinchats looked in prime condition, the male in particular was superb.
Afternoon - There were 11 Wheatears on the 11th fairway of Baildon Golf Course.

Glovershaw- The situation was very much the same with a tremendous amount of activity across the moor.  This was Glovershaw at its best.  The additions included four Wheatears, three pairs of Grey Partridge and three pairs of Reed Bunting. 19 singing Willow Warblers were counted on the Sconce and Baildon side of the moor.

Glovershaw - There were two pairs of Wheatears, one at Golcar Farm and the other near the Pennithorne Plantation.   In addition there were six different types of waders - Oystercatcher, Curlew, Lapwing, Snipe, Golden Plover and for the first time a pair of Redshank.  Two pairs of Grey Partridge, a pair of Red Grouse, two pairs of Reed Bunting and numerous Sky Larks and Meadow Pipits completed an excellent walk around the moor.

Hazlewood Moor -   A Hobby moved east up the valley at 11.30, gradually gaining height, until eventually lost from view.
Silsden Ings -  Two Dunlin early evening.  The two Whooper Swans were also still there this evening, though they were absent this morning, having been replaced, and presumably seen off, by five Mute Swans.

Glovershaw - There were four Wheatears on the Golf Course (two males and two females) and two Willow Warblers singing from the plantation beyond Pennithorn Hill.  A Swallow flew by and three pairs of Red Grouse and three pairs of Curlews were in the area.  Snipe were displaying and calling from the fields by Golcar Farm and to the north of Pennithorn.

Glovershaw - Nine Wheatears, five of them at Birch Close and four on the Golf Course.  Two pairs of Red Grouse and five Oystercatchers were feeding at Birch Close.  As I was returning to the car a Swallow flew by.

1 Reed  Bunting, 2 Stonechat, 100+ Meadow  Pipit, 20+ Skylark, 2 Linnet, 2 Oystercatcher, 3 Snipe, 5 Curlew,10+ Lapwing, 6 Red  Grouse, 200 or so Redwing flying south.

Highlight was my first ever Raven high over Coppice Pond heading north. At least 10 singing Chiffchaff, Tufted Duck, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Pheasant, Curlew, Skylark, Stock Pigeon, Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Goldcrest, Siskin in song-flight, Little Owl, 2 yaffling Green Woodpecker, several GSWdpkr. 2 Redwing.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - male Brambling, pair of Bullfinch, Redpolls & Reed Buntings. Also an incident when Jackdaws & Magpies together, tried to remove the pair of Kestrels from the box. One Magpie even forced a Kestrel to the ground but try as they may, the swooping Kestrels eventually saw them off.
