Wednesday 13th May 2020

Fly Flatts (Warley Moor Reservoir)
There were 12 Dunlin, two Ringed Plover, a Redshank, two Oystercatcher, nine Common Sandpiper, a Snipe and two Wheatears in the area.  Several Swifts and Swallows flew north and a Lapwing was seen with four chicks.

Shipley Glen
Breeding birds include Great Spotted Woodpecker and Stock Dove.
At Brackenhall, a family of five Mistle Thrush (adults plus juveniles) were feeding in the fields.

Thornton Moor
Wheatear, Skylark, Curlew, breeding Lapwing with chicks and Meadow Pipit were all seen during a walk across the moor.
