Barden Bridge - Strid Wood
A male Redstart, a Goosander female with single chick, five Mandarin ducks, a Kingfisher (twice seen flying steeply away from river into wood), three Common Sandpipers, a single Redshank (mate possibly nesting nearby?), a  Grey Wagtail, three Pied Flycatchers (all male, and not singing much now), two Pairs of Red-legged Partridge.

Eldwick Reservoir
30+ Swallows, over 25 House Martins feeding over the reservoir.  Two Grey Partridge, Mistle Thrush and Robin seen carrying food, a Grey Wagtail with a juvenile and a pair of Tufted Ducks.  Also, two Redshank, four Curlew, four Lapwing and a couple of Swifts.  Male Whitethroat and Reed Bunting were on territory and a Jackdaw was at its nest site.  Other birds seen included Willow Warbler, Pied Wagtail, Jay, Meadow Pipit, Little Owl, Oystercatcher and Common Sandpiper.

Washburn Valley
Green Woodpecker heard near Folly Hall Wood, a Great Spotted Woodpecker at nest, two male Pied Flycatcher and at least three male Redstarts singing from atop ash trees just north of the Pack Horse Bridge.  Other species included a Swift travelling upstream, a Garden Warbler, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Blackcap.
