Sand Martins in Shipley

The colony of breeding Sand Martins in an old wall beside the canal in Shipley

At least 10 birds were seen feeding young on 22nd June.  They are visible from the canal towpath between Baildon Bridge (Fox Corner) and the footbridge behind Aldi.  The Sand Martins are using the wall where the old cinema stood which was burnt down some years ago.
