Barden Scale - 3 Woodcock chicks, Blackcap
Strid Woods - pair of Pied Flycatchers nest building
A Cuckoo was heard at Pennythorn and there were 10 Wheatears, here and across the Golf Course. A male Whinchat was feeding in the fields by Golcar farm where the first Lapwing chick was visible. Other sightings across the area included two pairs of Linnets, two pairs of Reed Buntings, displaying Snipe, Curlew and plenty of Meadow Pipits and Skylarks.
