Shipley Glen
A walk around the Glen produced a roost of 12 Grey Herons, six pairs of Jays, five Nuthatch, a Goldcrest and a Song Thrush in full song.  In fields alongside the Higher Coach Road, three Grey Partridges were feeding and nearby, on Hirstwood Weir, a Dipper was resting on top of a huge log which has become jammed on the rocks.
