A clear bright morning and the birds were taking advantage.  At Golcar Fields, about 25 pairs of Lapwings are established, up to a dozen Snipe were very active, chasing, displaying and calling.  A Redshank dropped in and up to eight Curlews were feeding across the fields.  Two Wheatears were on the Golf Course and other birds included Stock Dove, Skylark, Meadow Pipit and Reed Bunting.
