Bradup to Whetstone Gate


Male Linnet in bright breeding plumage
At least 2 pair of Snipe
Lapwing with chicks
Curlew, Wheatear (saw one in  exactly same spot one week ago)
Pair of Stonechat opposite quarry.
Swallows nesting in outbuilding by cottage at Bradup.
6 Swifts
Redshank feeding in sheepfield

A female Wheatear near the 11th fairway.
15 Swifts feeding over the moor.

Shipley Glen
Survey of birds on the Baildon side of the Glen:
A Green Woodpecker and a Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Three pairs of Nuthatch including a pair at the nest site (see photos).
11 male Blackbirds, singing and guarding territory.
Five singing male Chaffinches.
Two singing Willow Warblers.
Two pairs of Jays.
Five singing Robins.
