There was a flock of 26 Linnets feeding in the fields behind Golcar Farm.  In the nearby fields juvenile birds were much in evidence, particularly Curlew, Mistle Thrush and Jackdaws.  Meadow Pipits and Skylarks were carrying food and in the Glen a couple of adult Jays were feeding three of their young.
