Monday 9th September, 2013

An excellent day for Wheatears with seven birds seen, two on the 11th fairway of the Golf Course and another five in the fields by Golcar Farm.  The birds were inevitably accompanied by two Whinchats and over at the farm, Spotted Flycatcher could still be seen.

Leeshaw Reservoir - Cream Crown Marsh Harrier hunting low over the moor west of the res. pm,chased briefly by a Merlin.Curlew 1, Swallows and Martins feeding over the water.
