An excellent morning for birding and there was the first signs of migration in the form of a Whinchat which was feeding in the fields near Golcar Farm. Elsewhere there were plenty of post-breeding groups of Meadow Pipits, with smaller numbers of Reed Bunting, Linnet, Goldfinch and a family of Whitethroat along the Glen Road.
